Caregiver Qualifications

Professional caregivers with the qualifications to go with their experience.

Our caregivers are thoroughly screened and participate in a comprehensive orientation and training program before they can provide services to your loved one.  Additionally, CarePoint Home Care complies with all licensing requirements so you can be assured that our caregiver is properly qualified to perform the level of care that your loved one needs. We also ensure that each caregiver receives on-going training, including participation in a minimum of 8 hours of training each year to maintain and improve their skill sets.

Caregiver qualifications and requirements

  • At least 1 year experience in client care
  • C.N.A. certification by Georgia Department of Human Resources. (Certification is not required for Companion Care Services)
  • Current C.P.R. and First Aid certification.
  • Current drivers license AND U.S. passport or birth certificate.
  • Current Automobile Insurance Card. All caregivers must have access to a reliable vehicle.
  • Five year work/educational history.
  • General Liability Malpractice Insurance.
  • Annual TB screening.
  • Clean Criminal background report .
